Launched in 2011, the China National Image Global Survey was the first large-scale independent research platform to continuously release regular survey reports on China’s national image. It regularly conducts surveys into views on China in more than 20 countries and has accumulated a large amount of firsthand data, making it an important information source both domestically and overseas for studying China’s image.
The China National Image Global Survey platform was jointly developed by the Academy of Contemporary China and World Studies and global research agency Kantar Millward Brown. It aims to understand perceptions of China within the international community in a scientific, objective, systematic and holistic manner, and timely review feedback from overseas on China’s international communications activities carried out to promote the country’s national image. In that way, it can provide targeted, comparative and practical advice to bolster China’s international communications campaigns.
The Chinese Enterprise Global Image Survey is designed to grasp the overall global image of Chinese enterprises at a macro-, meso- and micro-level, and provide targeted and practical suggestions to help Chinese enterprises become more international and better connected with the world.
Jointly developed by China Report, the Academy of Contemporary China and World Studies and Kantar Millward Brown, the Chinese Enterprise Global Image Survey platform aims to understand the global image of Chinese enterprises in a scientific, objective and systematic manner. Since 2014, the platform has conducted annual research in Asia-Pacific, 12 countries along the route of the Belt and Road, Central and Eastern Europe, ASEAN countries, and Africa and released relevant survey reports.
Against the backdrop of COVID-19 and in order to better understand global youth’s views on China and the world, the Academy of Contemporary China and World Studies conducted a survey among young people around the world in 2021. Four thousand one hundred and thirty people between the ages of 18 to 35 from 21 countries participated in the survey, and they contributed to a report that provided a comprehensive overview of how China’s relationship with the global community has been seen by young people around the world since 2020.
