Sketches on the Long March (English edition)

"Sketches on the Long March" is a collection of illustrations and writings by General Huang Zhen (1909–1989), a Chinese diplomat and artist who documented the 25,000-li (12,500-kilometer) march of the Chinese Workers' and Peasants' Red Army from 1934 to 1936. First published in 1982 by the Foreign Languages Press, these sketches offer a vivid, firsthand glimpse of the journey. Beyond recording this epic undertaking, the album also stands as a tribute to the enduring spirit of the Long March.
