International media delegation explores the Long March legacy in Yan'an

Participants in the "Together on the Long March" International Communication Project, led by China International Communications Group (CICG), recently visited Yan'an, Shaanxi province. They were joined by CICG President Chang Bo, who shared with them the profound contemporary significance of the Long March Spirit.

Yan'an was the latest stop on their journey to revisit key Long March sites, following visits to five other provinces.

At a historical Long March trail in Ganquan county, Chang briefed Chinese and foreign participants on the contemporary value of the Long March Spirit.

Chang spoke about the history of the 12,500-kilometer Long March, noting that it stands as a monumental feat in human history, and a rare miracle in both military history and the history of political party development. The project invites Chinese and foreign media to retrace the revolutionary route, experience the Long March Spirit firsthand, and witness the historic transformations unfolding in towns and villages along the way. The journey aims to present to the world a true picture of China, the Communist Party of China, and the Chinese nation, while promoting global peace and development, he said.

Speaking with a media delegation from developing countries at the historical trail, Chang said China and other developing countries share a common goal: exploring a path to modernization suited to their respective national conditions.

Since its founding 77 years ago, CICG has consistently upheld the spirit of internationalism and worked to promote exchanges and mutual learning among diverse civilizations. Going forward, CICG will deepen cooperation with countries of the Global South, contributing further to upholding the common values of humanity and building a community with a shared future for humanity, the CICG president said.
