New World Press
Founded in 1951, the New World Press is a comprehensive publishing house specializing in books related to international communication, social science and culture. It is qualified to publish teaching materials for primary and secondary schools, and has the exclusive authorization of the China Accreditation Test for Translators and Interpreters Office to publish and distribute the latest learning materials.
The press focuses on the publishing of books in three main fields: international communication, social science and literature, and textbooks and reference books. It has published book series in multiple languages introducing Chinese politics, such as "Why and How the CPC Works in China" and "Keywords to Understand China." It also carries out global cooperation on the publishing of China-themed books and has established nearly 20 overseas editorial offices for such books in India, Egypt, the United States, Turkey, South Korea, the United Kingdom and Poland. The press has introduced books on China to various major local publishers via joint-publishing initiatives. It also works with local publishers to launch marketing campaigns to facilitate the "going global" strategy for Chinese books.
