Center for the Americas

The Center for the Americas (CICG Americas) is a media complex dedicated to international communication that covers North and South America with a focus on the United States. It was established in 2021 based on Beijing Review, a weekly English news magazine launched in 1958, integrating with the Latin American business operations of the magazine China Today.

The center publishes Beijing Review (English version), China Today (Spanish, Portuguese, Peruvian edition), as well as other magazines in multiple languages. It produces a variety of news products, operates the social media account of the Pacific Dialogue video series, and publishes opinion articles on global events across multiple media platforms. It is also responsible for the operation of social media accounts, mobile apps and websites in English, Spanish and Portuguese. The center also carries out research into public opinion in major countries in the Americas and conducts studies on regional communication. 

It launches programs on the localized development of international communication, promotes regional cooperation, establishes exchange platforms for media outlets and think tanks, organizes in-person exchange activities, and develops regional connections. The center also manages the daily operations of its overseas offices in North and South America.
