CICG president meets with German Schiller Institute delegation

CICG, November 4, 2026

Chang Bo, president of China International Communications Group (CICG), met with Helga Zepp-LaRouche, founder of the Schiller Institute, and her delegation in Beijing on Oct. 29. Gao Anming, editor-in-chief of CICG, and Li Yafang, deputy editor-in-chief and president of the Academy of Contemporary China and World Studies (ACCWS), also attended the meeting.

Chang welcomed the delegation and expressed appreciation for the Schiller Institute's strong support for CICG. He said that the institute is one of the few Western think tanks that have conducted long-term, systematic research on Chinese ideas and concepts, and that Zepp-LaRouche has conducted in-depth research on China-proposed concepts and initiatives with an objective and open stance, playing a positive role in promoting a rational and objective understanding of China in the international community.

Chang said he expects CICG and the Schiller Institute to further deepen China-Europe dialogue and think-tank exchanges. Having jointly established a research center for global governance and mutual learning among civilizations, the two sides can build on this effort through joint research, create institutionalized forums, promote Chinese discourse overseas, and organize youth exchanges and visits.

Zepp-LaRouche thanked CICG for its support. She expressed strong support for China's four major global initiatives, saying they offer an important path toward addressing the growing risks of division and confrontation in today's world and advancing peace and cooperation. She said she looks forward to deepening think-tank and communication cooperation with CICG. By exploring the shared essence of traditional Chinese culture and classical Western thought, both sides will tell true stories about China to the international community and build consensus for peace through exchanges among civilizations, she said.

The delegation also visited the ACCWS after the meeting.
