CICG president meets with Macao publishing industry delegation
On June 18, Chang Bo, president of China International Communications Group (CICG), met with a Macao publishing industry delegation in Beijing. The two sides held discussions covering publishing and distribution, cultural exchanges, and translation cooperation.

Chang extended a warm welcome to the delegation. He briefed the history and business portfolio of CICG, highlighting its resource strengths in overseas book publishing and distribution, developing international communication content and channels, international cultural exchanges, as well as translation and talent training for international communication.
Chang noted that CICG and Macao publishing industry should fully tap into cooperation potential across all sectors. He said the two sides can expand collaboration across the entire publishing value chain by jointly developing publishing projects, sharing high-quality content, building overseas distribution networks, and creating impactful international communication initiatives.
He said he hopes the partnership would strengthen outreach to Portuguese-speaking countries and regions, helping tell compelling stories of Macao, the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, and China to global audiences.

Lok Po, director of Macao Daily News, said that Macao publishing industry has achieved important outcomes in disseminating Chinese culture to Portuguese-speaking countries and advancing cultural exchanges and cooperation between China and Portuguese-speaking nations over recent years.
He expressed hopes to strengthen collaboration with CICG in book publishing and distribution, supply of international communication content, and themed event planning, so as to jointly promote localized publishing and in-depth communication in Portuguese-speaking countries and regions, thereby improving efficacy of communication.
Representatives from CICG departments and subsidiaries also attended the meeting.
