Staged simultaneously in Beijing and Moscow, the event gathered Chinese and Russian scholars and Sinologists for exchanges on bilateral ties and global governance. Participants held in-depth talks over the significance of the state visit, the deepening China-Russia comprehensive strategic partnership of coordination for a new era, as well as economic, trade, energy, and sci-tech cooperation.
Noting that the Western-dominated global system is weakening while relevant narratives aim to preserve its dominance, experts from China pointed out that China-Russia relations go beyond the bilateral scope and help reshape global governance; bilateral trade maintains strong growth and cooperation mechanisms keep improving, yet obstacles such as external containment, structural shortcomings, and perception gaps remain. Experts from both sides called on the two nations to seize opportunities to expand cooperation in advanced manufacturing, high-tech, digital, and green industries, adjust the trade structure, strengthen strategic trust, and enhance cultural and educational exchanges.

Held on the sidelines of the China-Russia presidential meeting, the video conference offers an important platform for authoritative discussions on jointly tackling global economic fluctuations and geopolitical challenges, as well as advancing a more equitable world order, and it will continue to facilitate in-depth exchanges between Chinese and Russian experts across various fields, pooling wisdom to bolster major-country relations and global order building, the organizers said.
