During the meeting, Chang said that CICG and the Embassy of Uzbekistan in China are important partners in promoting people-to-people exchanges between the two countries. The two sides have carried out extensive and in-depth collaboration in publishing, media, think tanks and youth exchanges. Currently, the two sides are advancing several major programs, including the 2026 China-Central Asia Human Rights Development Forum and the China Book Center in Uzbekistan, he noted.

Chang said CICG stands ready to work with the embassy to translate existing cooperation outcomes into more sustainable and impactful people-to-people exchange initiatives so as to inject more momentum to China-Uzbekistan ties.
