China International Communications Group (CICG) will attend the 38th Beijing Book Fair, to be held at the China International Exhibition Center in the city's Chaoyang district from Jan. 8 to 10.

Seven publishing houses under CICG will showcase over 2,000 titles. These books cover various topics and genres such as contemporary China, Chinese culture, children's picture books, and Chinese language education.

Activities including book launches, book promotions, author interviews, and reader meet-and-greet events will be held during the fair. The New World Press will host the launch ceremony of "The Long Arc of Justice: Asia-Pacific War Crimes Trials" on Jan. 8. The book reviews the post-World War II trials of Japanese war criminals conducted by military tribunals in countries including China, the U.S., the U.K., and Australia, offering a comprehensive record of the international community's efforts to address wartime culpability through legal means and to reshape the postwar international order.

China Pictorial Press will hold a promotion event for its "1,001 Chinese Paintings" on Jan. 8. This original work, meticulously developed by the press over six years, presents the developmental trajectory of Chinese painting from the pre-Qin period (before 221 B.C.) through the modern era. The event will invite the chief editor, Fan Mo, to share insights into the book's academic significance and its value in art education, and engage with readers on the broader possibilities of promoting Chinese painting.
