Event highlighting outstanding stories from central SOEs held in Beijing

An event featuring the release and presentation of outstanding stories from central state-owned enterprises (SOEs) and creative communication works inspired by AI-generated content (AIGC), was held in Beijing on Dec. 10.

At the event, Yu Yunquan, vice president of China International Communications Group (CICG), said in his speech that telling the stories of central SOEs well is an important part of building up China's cultural strength and shaping a credible, appealing, and respectable image of China. 

He said that CICG will continue to support efforts to explore the use of AI in empowering international communication, and promote the deep integration of AI technologies with CICG's strengths in translation studies, publishing, media communication, and cultural exchange. CICG will also bring together the strengths of central SOEs to make greater contributions to telling China's stories well and enhancing the global influence of Chinese culture, Yu said.

A total of 95 central SOEs recommended and submitted more than 1,500 outstanding storytelling works and over 900 AIGC projects for the event.

As an important part of the event, an AIGC creative communication works exhibition was held concurrently at the venue, showcasing selected works that highlight the five-year achievements of central SOEs and their responsibilities in the new era.

The exhibition featured multiple functional zones, including a mixed reality (MR) interactive experience area, image and IP display zones, a video exhibition area, and outdoor exhibition spaces for enterprises.
