CICG holds Guangzhou-themed visual story exhibition

The 2025 "You Make the World a Beautiful Place" visual story exhibition and sharing session was held on Monday in Guangzhou, southern China's Guangdong province.

At the event, Yu Yingfu, vice president of China International Communications Group (CICG), said in his speech that China is an important participant, contributor, and leader in global ecological development. He called for using films and imagery as a medium, and taking Guangzhou as a representative example to tell vivid, authentic, and warm visual stories that help the world understand Chinese modernization and how the country engages with the world with greater openness, confidence, and inclusiveness.

Bao Wei, deputy director of the Publicity Department of the Communist Party of China Guangzhou Municipal Committee and director of the Guangzhou Municipal Office of Ethical and Cultural Progress, said that the event is an important window for Guangzhou to showcase itself to the world, and a vivid example of the city's proactive efforts to tell China's stories, the stories of the Greater Bay Area, and the stories of Guangzhou.

At the event, Chen Shi, deputy editor-in-chief of China International Communications Group (CICG) and director of the China International Publishing Center, announced 30 outstanding works and eight jury recommended works.

The event also features a sharing session, with creators and participant representatives from China, France, Brazil, and Tajikistan sharing their unique experiences and insights gained from documenting Guangzhou through films and imagery.
