Senior executives from China International Communications Group (CICG) attended the 2025 Understanding China Conference in Guangzhou, southern China's Guangdong province, from Nov. 30 to Dec. 2.

The event had the theme of "New Plan, New Development, New Choices — Chinese Modernization and New Vision for Global Governance."

Chang Bo, president of CICG, Yu Yingfu, vice president of CICG, and Chen Shi, deputy editor-in-chief of CICG and director of the China Center for International Communication Development, attended the opening ceremony as well as forums and dialogue sessions.

This year's conference focused on China's upcoming 15th Five-Year Plan and its global implications. Discussions explored the roadmap for Chinese modernization, the opportunities it may create for global development, and collaborative approaches to global governance. More than 800 guests from over 70 countries and regions took part.

CICG's subsidiary institutions hosted a series of events at the conference, including discussions on promoting the international image of the Communist Party of China, an exhibition from the 2025 "You Make the World a Beautiful Place (Guangzhou)" visual storytelling campaign, and a forum on China's development and global development.

During the event, CICG executives toured the exhibition and the book booth of Foreign Languages Press, a publisher under CICG.
