CICG executive attends 2025 World Chinese Language Conference
The 2025 World Chinese Language Conference was held from Friday to Sunday in Beijing, where government officials, educators, and diplomats gathered to discuss the future of Chinese language education in an era shaped by innovation and artificial intelligence.

Chinese Vice Premier Ding Xuexiang, who is also a member of the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau of the Communist Party of China Central Committee, delivered a speech at the opening ceremony. Ding said China will, as always, support and assist other countries in promoting Chinese language education, and work together to advance language and cultural exchanges and cooperation.
Highlighting the growing global interest in the Chinese language in recent years, Ding said China's steadfast pursuit of high-quality development and opening up will create more opportunities for other countries, while international demand for learning Chinese and understanding China is set to continue rising.

Yu Tao, vice president of China International Communications Group (CICG), attended the event. After the opening ceremony, Yu toured the main exhibition of the conference and visited the booth of Sinolingua Press, a publishing house under CICG. He said Sinolingua Press should continue to drive innovation, adapt to the digital era of education, and expand digital Chinese-language resources to make learning more accessible and efficient while supporting cross-cultural exchange.
Representatives from Sinolingua Press briefed Yu on the publisher's key achievements in developing international Chinese-language teaching resources, including multilingual textbook systems and digital learning content.

At this year's conference, Sinolingua Press launched the "Panda Chinese" digital learning platform designed for overseas learners, a flagship offering under CICG's broader "Panda" brand.
Themed "Innovation Leads, AI Empowers: Learning Chinese without Borders," the conference was organized by China's Ministry of Education and co-hosted by the Center for Language Education and Cooperation, the Chinese International Education Foundation, and the International Society for Chinese Language Teaching.
