Chang Bo, president of China International Communications Group (CICG), attended the event and delivered a speech. He said that the new volume, along with the previously released Italian editions of the first two volumes, opens a new window for Italian readers to learn about China in their native language.

Chang noted that the English editions of the fourth and fifth volumes would also be provided to audiences in Italy, and that translation work for the Italian editions of those volumes is being expedited.

He also briefed attendees on the recent fourth plenary session of the 20th Central Committee of the Communist Party of China (CPC). Chang said the session's proposals for China's 15th Five-Year Plan (2026-2030) affirm the country's commitment to expanding high-level opening-up and sharing opportunities and development with all other countries.
