Also speaking at the event, Chang Bo, president of China International Communications Group (CICG), said that under the CPC's guidelines for governing Xizang in the new era, the region has entered its best period of development, marked by the greatest changes and the most tangible benefits for all ethnic groups.
Chang emphasized the need to focus on telling three key stories: the rich history and culture of Xizang, showcasing the cultural roots of the Chinese nation; the happiness of the Xizang people, highlighting the remarkable journey from poverty to prosperity; and the green development of Xizang, presenting the Chinese approach to achieving harmony between humanity and nature.
He highlighted CICG's efforts of sharing Xizang's stories through the Tibetan-language Potala magazine and the website xz.china.com.cn, as well as by hosting international communication roundtables and the China Xizang Internet Photography and Video Festival. These initiatives, along with its support for the Xizang International Communication Center, aim to help the world better understand a true and diverse Xizang, Chang said.
The CICG president added that the organization will further leverage its comprehensive communication strengths to build the "China & World" International Online Communication Platform, and continue to deepen cooperation at home and abroad to tell Xizang's stories in a more engaging and multidimensional way.
The forum was hosted by the People's Government of the Xizang Autonomous Region.
