CICG editor-in-chief meets Orchid Awards winner
Gao Anming, editor-in-chief of China International Communications Group (CICG), met with Zafar-Ud-Din Mahmood, chairman of the "Understanding China" Forum in Pakistan and a recipient of the Friendship Envoy Award of the second Orchid Awards, in Beijing on Monday.

Gao noted that CICG and Pakistani institutions have worked together in recent years and achieved positive results. He said he hopes that Mahmood would continue to play an active role as a cultural envoy of the Orchid Awards, and further promote China-Pakistan collaboration in areas such as research, book publishing, and media communication through platforms like the Orchid Awards and the "Understanding China" Forum. He said these efforts would help deepen people-to-people exchanges between China and Pakistan and contribute to dialogue and mutual learning among civilizations worldwide.
Mahmood said the "Understanding China" Forum in Pakistan looks forward to deepening cooperation with CICG to enhance exchanges and collaboration in publishing, think tank research, and media communication. He also expressed his commitment to strengthening people-to-people ties between Pakistan and China and to jointly building a China-Pakistan community with a shared future.
