At the dialogue, Yu Yingfu, vice president of China International Communications Group (CICG), said in his speech that the Global Governance Initiative proposed by China is an important public good for improving the global governance system.

He said that, as deeply interconnected communities of shared interests and major economies in the world, China and South Korea should work to deepen economic and trade cooperation, jointly uphold multilateralism, and turn the outcomes of bilateral cooperation into a strong driving force for sustained regional economic growth.

He said, the China-South Korea relationship has gone beyond economic cooperation and entered a new stage of jointly addressing complex global issues such as supply chain stability, climate change, and technological innovation.

Against the backdrop of increasingly prominent global challenges, both sides should work together to explore a path toward sustainable prosperity on the basis of wisdom, trust, and mutual respect, Lee said.
