CICG attends Frankfurt Book Fair 2025

China International Communications Group (CICG) attended the 77th Frankfurt Book Fair, held from Oct. 15 to 19 in Frankfurt, Germany.

During the event, CICG showcased over 900 publications in more than 20 languages, covering themes from contemporary China, Chinese culture, language education, to children's literature.

Among the books were CICG's signature series including "Library of Chinese Classics," "Understanding China," "Keywords to Understand China," and "Biographies of Silk Road Cities."

CICG also hosted promo events during the fair for various books, including the English edition of "Dream Big— Zhang Bo Around the World in 68 Days." The book recounts the author's second global flight in a small aircraft, highlighting his courage and perseverance. At the launch event, Zhang shared his stories that convey a spirit of exploration and international exchange.

In a separate ceremony, Foreign Languages Press under CICG introduced the multilingual edition of "Voice of Justice: Classic Songs from China's War Against Fascism." A copyright signing ceremony was also held. The book presents sheet music, historical accounts, and audio recordings to illustrate China's contribution to the victory in the World Anti-Fascist War.

Foreign Languages Press also launched the multilingual editions of "Communicators: Telling China's Stories to the World," a book based on a documentary series profiling 10 international media professionals working in China. The book shares their personal experiences of cultural exchange and storytelling.

At a signing ceremony, the New World Press, another CICG publisher, secured international co-publishing agreements for "Keywords to Understand China: Global Civilization Initiative." The book, the 14th in the "Keywords to Understand China" series published by the New World Press, was recently released at the 2025 Beijing Culture Forum. The new agreements will lead to Albanian, Hindi, French, and Turkish editions.

Meanwhile, the Chinese and English editions of "Medical Human Experiments Conducted by Imperial Japanese Army for Biological Warfare in China 1932-1945" made their debut at the book fair.

The book examines historical documents from Japan, the U.S., and Germany, presenting an academic analysis of human experiments by Japanese military doctors during World War II. It provides critical evidence against historical denialism, urging accurate recognition of wartime atrocities.
