English edition of 'Hi, I'm China' unveiled in Beijing
The launch ceremony for the English edition of "Hi, I'm China" was held at Beijing Library on Sept. 29. Xie Gang, vice president of China International Communications Group (CICG), attended the event and unveiled the book.
The ceremony brought together reader representatives from multiple countries as well as experts and scholars from various fields.

During the event, Xie was joined by Meng Fanxing, vice president of Beijing Association for Science and Technology, and Hong Yonggang, editor-in-chief of CITIC Press Group, to present the English edition of "Hi, I'm China" to the reader representatives.
Jointly published by CICG affiliate China Pictorial Press and CITIC Press Group, the English edition of "Hi, I'm China" adopts fresh approaches to translation and production while remaining faithful to the original Chinese version.
In terms of content, the English edition strengthens the international perspective, balancing cultural characteristics with reading preferences of a global audience. Visually, the layout and design are optimized for international reading habits and offer enhanced visual guidance. Dozens of professional maps have been retranslated and redrawn to meet international standards, nearly 100 photographs have been replaced, and each chapter now features new hand-drawn illustrations and refined navigation elements— together forming a visual system that helps readers better appreciate the Chinese landscapes and culture.
