Chen Shi, deputy editor-in-chief of China International Communications Group (CICG) and director of the China Center for International Communication Development, said in her speech at the launching ceremony that youths are the driving forces of innovation and cultural exchange. Their creativity and fresh perspectives are powerful in conveying stories through visual media.

She encouraged young content creators to showcase Ningxia's development and China's narratives through their works, while using innovative approaches to highlight the Silk Road's cultural heritage. Through initiatives like this program, young people can build bridges of friendship, foster international collaboration, and contribute to building a global community of shared future, Chen said.

The young participants will also embark on a three-day shooting trip in Yinchuan and Zhongwei.

The camp is guided by CICG, the Department of International Cooperation of the National Radio and Television Administration of China, and the Publicity Department of the Party Committee of the Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region. It aims to build an exchange and creation platform for international youths to record Ningxia's development from diverse perspectives, convey the spirit of contemporary China through innovative expressions, and document stories of common prosperity under the Belt and Road Initiative.
