CICG signs cooperation memorandum with trade promotion agency
China International Communications Group (CICG) and the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT) signed a memorandum of cooperation on Monday to increase collaboration on international communication, multilingual translation, information sharing and research, talent training, and brand building for Chinese businesses.

During the meeting, Du Zhanyuan, president of CICG, highlighted the group's commitment to serving China's efforts in international communication, diplomacy, and foreign trade.
As a comprehensive international communication institution, CICG operates across multiple areas, including high-level visits, publishing, international communication, and think tank research, he added.
Du said he hopes that the memorandum would serve as a foundation for both organizations to harness their respective strengths and collaborate effectively in supporting China's international engagement.
Ren Hongbin, chairman of the CCPIT, thanked CICG for its longstanding support and provided an overview of the CCPIT's primary areas of work.
For over 70 years, the CCPIT has remained focused on promoting trade and investment, offering commercial legal services, participating in global economic governance, and conducting practical research, Ren said.
Ren emphasized the two organizations' 60-year history of collaboration and expressed his hope for building on this partnership through the memorandum, so as to enhance communication, mutual learning, and coordinate efforts to strengthen China's global voice and influence.

According to the memorandum, CICG and the CCPIT will collaborate on areas such as capacity building in international communication, multilingual translation, information sharing and research, talent development, and promoting Chinese business brands. Both parties aim to leverage their expertise and resources to tell China's story effectively and amplify its voice on the global stage.
