CICG executive attends 2024 Media Cooperation Forum on Belt and Road
On Aug. 28, the two-day 2024 Media Cooperation Forum on Belt and Road kicked off in Chengdu, capital of southwestern China's Sichuan province. During the forum, the 3rd Council Meeting of the Belt and Road News Network was held. Yu Yunquan, vice president of China International Communications Group (CICG), attended both the forum and the council meeting.

At the council meeting, Yu said that as a member of the Belt and Road News Network, CICG has unleashed its comprehensive strength in international communication, actively engaged in various kinds of work at the news network, tapped the advantages of its international journals, online media platforms and think tanks, contributing to the network in ways like providing news reports and carrying out regional and media cooperation.

In the future, CICG will continue to make efforts in terms of information sharing, translation and publishing, think tank dialogue, people-to-people exchange, and so on, in order to work together with other members of the news network to contribute to the community with a shared future for mankind, Yu said.

The 3rd Council Meeting of the Belt and Road News Network released its list of members, adding 41 media outlets from 26 countries including CICG to its council.
Over 200 media executives, editors and reporters from 191 organizations across 76 countries, along with officials, experts, scholars and business representatives attended the forum.
