CICG attends International Book Fair of Venezuela

The 2024 International Book Fair of Venezuela was held from July 11 to 21. China attended the book fair at the invitation of Venezuela, as this year marks the 50th anniversary of the establishment of the diplomatic ties between the two countries.
The China International Book Trading Corporation, under China International Communications Group (CICG), organized over 10 publishing houses to present over 2,000 books at the book fair, making the Chinese national pavilion the largest beside the guest of honor.

Venezuelan Minister of Culture Ernesto Villegas and Deputy Minister of Culture Raúl Cazal attended the fair. They both visited the Chinese booth and gave high praise to China's participation. Chinese Ambassador to Venezuela Lan Hu attended the fair's opening ceremony and visited the Chinese booth.

On July 12, a Sino-Venezuelan literary dialogue, co-organized by China International Book Trading Corporation, was held in Caracas, capital of Venezuela. Venezuelan Deputy Minister of Culture Raúl Cazal attended the event and delivered a speech. Representatives of the Chinese and Venezuelan literary fields gathered to discuss literary styles of authors from the two nations, features of the times in literary works, and trends of literary development.
