CICG executive meets with South African guests
Yu Tao, vice president of China International Communications Group (CICG), met with Busani Ngcaweni, principal of South Africa's National School of Government (NSG), in Beijing on Wednesday.
During the meeting, Yu said the world is currently in a period of turbulence and transformation, and BRICS cooperation is at a crucial time of building on past achievements and opening up a new future. Against this backdrop, he said he hopes CICG and the NSG can work together to expand practical collaborations in think tanks, media, joint publishing, people-to-people exchange, and cultural exchange in order to advance modernization in both countries.

Ngcaweni said people-to-people exchange and think tank cooperation are important ways to promote mutual learning and trust between the two countries. As a professional training organization for mid- and senior-level public servants in South Africa, the NSG is willing to expand cooperation with CICG in multiple areas including publishing, research, and personnel training, he said.
After the meeting, the Academy of Contemporary China and World Studies under CICG signed a memorandum of understanding with the NSG on establishing a joint research center and the knowledge sharing initiative. This agreement aims to deepen collaboration in joint research, cultural exchange, and personnel training.
