CICG president meets international guests

Du Zhanyuan, president of China International Communications Group (CICG), on Tuesday met with international guests attending the Dialogue on the International Image Innovation of the CPC (2024) and Workshop and Exchanges for the Heads of Media Affairs of Global Political Parties in Beijing.

A total of 30 officials responsible for media affairs from 25 countries and representatives of CICG and the International Department of the Communist Party of China Central Committee attended the meeting.

Du presented multilingual versions of "Xi Jinping: The Governance of China" to the international guests. He said political parties play an important role in national politics as they are representatives of diverse governance perspectives and group interests, and are key drivers of progress in human civilization. 

He said CICG is willing to work with political parties and media organizations worldwide in implementing the Global Civilization Initiative, advancing cultural exchange, deepening media collaborations, and strengthening think tank research and knowledge sharing, in order to advance the modernization of humanity and foster global prosperity.

The international guests recognized China's accomplishments in forging its distinctive path to modernization. They noted that exchanges between political parties and the media facilitate mutual learning and understanding, helping the world to better understand China and the vast potential of its modernization approach. They also expressed willingness to work with CICG to address global challenges and promote shared development and international equity and justice.
