At the ceremony, CICG and the Publicity Department of the Communist Party of China Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region Committee signed a strategic cooperation agreement, aiming to leverage CICG's strength in international communication and Guangxi's geographical proximity to ASEAN to expand ASEAN-China cultural exchanges and enhance international communication capabilities.

The ceremony also marked the launch of the ASEAN-China Short Video Creation and Communication Initiative, aimed at fostering cooperation and deepening cultural exchanges between China and ASEAN nations.

The short video contest was established in 2020 and has been held for four consecutive sessions. Since its official launch in September 2023, this edition of the contest has received over 20,000 entries.
