Themed "Reading China" this year, CICG's exhibition featured the English edition of the first two volumes of "Selected Readings from the Works of Xi Jinping," "Xi Jinping: The Governance of China" (Volumes I-IV), "The Belt and Road Initiative," and other China-themed books in multiple languages.

Publishing houses under CICG, including Foreign Languages Press (FLP) and Sinolingua Press, brought over 1,000 publications in 15 languages to the event. These books cover various fields, such as Chinese culture, academic works, and children's books.

The English versions of China Development Report 2023 and Global Development Report 2023 were launched Tuesday at the book fair. Guided by CICG, the launch ceremony was jointly organized by FLP and China Development Press, attracting over 30 guests from China and abroad to attend.

Chen Shi, deputy editor-in-chief of CICG, said that these two reports, compiled by the Development Research Center of the State Council and the Center for International Knowledge on Development, aim to better introduce the Global Development Initiative to the world and gather consensus on promoting global development.

Also on Tuesday, the book fair saw the launch of the English version of a book titled "Happiness in Being Ordinary: Stories from a Vocational School," which was published by FLP. Chen said at the launch ceremony that the book reflects the social development and changes of contemporary China and highlights a people-centered philosophy, adding that it offers international readers insight into China's vocational education.
