CICG presents Bulgarian edition of Xi's book in Sofia
China International Communications Group (CICG) and the Chinese Embassy in Bulgaria co-hosted an event on March 4 to present the Bulgarian edition of the first volume of "Xi Jinping: The Governance of China" in Sofia, the capital of Bulgaria.

About 150 representatives of the political, business, and cultural circles of both China and Bulgaria attended the event.

Lu Cairong, vice president of CICG, said the book serves as an important resource for the international community to gain a deeper understanding of China's development concepts, path, and domestic and foreign policies.
CICG aims to use the translation and publication of the Bulgarian edition of the book as a new opportunity to further strengthen cooperation with Bulgaria in different areas such as book publishing and distribution, news reporting, and think tank exchange, Lu said.

Wang Min, charge d'affaires of the Chinese Embassy in Bulgaria, said that "Xi Jinping: The Governance of China" provides a comprehensive and systematic understanding of President Xi's thoughts, political views, policy directions, and successful practices. She said she hopes the book can become a window for Bulgarian readers to understand the Chinese path, a key to comprehending Chinese wisdom, and a bond of mutual trust and benefit for shared progress between China and Bulgaria.

Zahari Zahariev, chairman of Bulgaria National Association for the Belt and Road, said the book is not only a summary of President Xi's governance wisdom but also a compilation of the Chinese people's hard work under the leadership of the Communist Party of China over years, making it the most comprehensive book to understand China. He said that the publication of the Bulgarian edition will pique the interest of more Bulgarians in China's development experiences and path.

During the event, Lu and Wang presented Bulgarian guests with copies of the Bulgarian edition of the first volume of "Xi Jinping: The Governance of China," which was jointly translated and published by Foreign Languages Press under CICG and Iztok-Zapad (East-West) Publishers.
To date, "Xi Jinping: The Governance of China" has been translated and published in 41 languages and distributed to over 180 countries and regions.
