Book sharing event on 'Xi Jinping: The Governance of China' held in Albania

A book sharing and exchange event for the Albanian edition of "Xi Jinping: The Governance of China" was held Friday in Tirana, the capital of Albania. Lu Cairong, vice president of China International Communications Group (CICG), attended and spoke at the event.

More than 120 representatives attended the event, including officials, media and publishing professionals, and writers from both China and Albania.

During his speech, Lu said that "Xi Jinping: The Governance of China" provides international readers with insight into Chinese modernization. The book explains how the Communist Party of China (CPC) pioneered a unique Chinese path toward modernization and created a new form of human civilization, providing inspirations for developing countries to achieve modernization. Moreover, the book shows that Chinese modernization is based on win-win cooperation and peaceful development. This book will help Albanian readers to understand that China's approach to modernization is always committed to a people-centered philosophy, Lu said.

Pang Chunxue, Chinese ambassador to Albania, said that the Albanian edition of "Xi Jinping: The Governance of China" has been well received and praised by Albanians. The book has offered a window for Albanians to understand China and the CPC, epitomizing the cultural exchange and mutual learning between China and Albania, she added.

Rexhep Hida, director of the Albanian publishing house Fan Noli, said the book has played an important role in helping people understand Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era and promoting people-to-people exchange between China and Albania.

The Albanian edition of the first and second volumes of "Xi Jinping: The Governance of China" has been jointly translated and published by Foreign Languages Press under CICG and the Albanian publishing house Fan Noli. So far, "Xi Jinping: The Governance of China" has been translated and published in 41 languages and distributed in more than 180 countries and regions.
