CICG executive attends TCM festival in Nanyang, Henan
The 16th Zhang Zhongjing Medical Culture Festival kicked off Tuesday in Nanyang, central China's Henan province.

Lu Cairong, vice president of China International Communications Group (CICG), attended the event and delivered a speech.
Lu noted that traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) encapsulates thousands of years of health preservation ideas and methods developed in China, profoundly promoting the advancement of the global civilization.
As a birthplace of TCM, Nanyang boasts unique advantages in introducing TCM culture to the world, Lu said.
To better promote its international communication, Lu said future efforts should focus on the continuation of Chinese cultural heritage and showcase the essence of TCM culture.
Lu also advocated for building diverse platforms to conduct cultural exchange among TCM practitioners and adopting innovative ways to boost the global presence of TCM cultural brands.

Supported by the China Center for International Communication Development under CICG, the festival will feature 15 academic forums as well as 16 additional activities including the Zhongjing Health Industry Expo.
