Qiu Xiaoqi, special representative of the Chinese government on Latin American affairs, said that, as an important platform for boosting South-South cooperation and building a China-LAC community with a shared future, the China-CELAC Forum enhances consensus on unity and facilitates regional integrated development. In the past 10 years, China and LAC countries have consolidated political mutual trust, expanded pragmatic cooperation, and supported each other in the international arena.

China is willing to work with LAC countries to champion a multipolar world and inclusive economic globalization, and contribute to shaping a just and equitable global governance system, Qiu said.

More than 50 think tank scholars, enterprise representatives, and journalists from China, Brazil, Mexico, and Bolivia attended the event.

CICG's Academy of Contemporary China and World Studies, Blossom Press, and Center for the Americas were among the event organizers.
