CICG executive attends forum promoting Chinese culture

A forum centered on promoting Chinese culture globally under the Belt and Road Initiative was held in Beijing on Friday.

Lu Cairong, vice president of China International Communications Group (CICG), attended the event and spoke on the ways to facilitate the international communication of Chinese culture. These include selecting stories of China that can enhance mutual understanding among Belt and Road regions, and providing high-quality translation of original texts, he said. 

Wu Shulin, executive president of the Publishers Association of China, also underscored the huge potential of sci-tech and publishing agencies in improving global understanding of China through high-quality content and innovative technologies.

Several domestic publishers, including Foreign Languages Press under CICG and China Renmin University Press, inked strategic cooperation deals with technology companies at the event, aiming to create more platforms and diverse formats to spread Chinese culture globally.
