CICG establishes China-Arab Cultural Publishing Center

China International Communications Group (CICG) established the China-Arab Cultural Publishing Center and debuted the Arabic version of "My China Story" in Beijing on Jan. 11.

CICG Vice President Liu Dawei addressed the event, saying that the establishment of the center is an important measure to deepen China-Arab people-to-people, cultural, and publishing exchanges. 

The center will host various cultural events and celebration activities during major festivals and anniversaries of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Arab countries, Liu said. 

Liu noted that the center will coordinate efforts to publish books on Chinese and Arab cultures and translate Chinese and Arabic classics.

The year 2024 marks the 60th anniversary of diplomatic ties between China and Tunisia, and the establishment of the China-Arab Cultural Publishing Center will promote cultural communication between China and Tunisia, said Ambassador of Tunisia to China Adel Elarbi.

Sinolingua Press under CICG — the secretariat of the center — and the China Representative Office for the Tunisian National Tourist Office signed a strategic cooperation agreement at the event, aiming to deepen cooperation in fields such as tourism, publishing, and cultural exchange. The event also featured the center's first cultural event — a Tunisian food tasting.
