CICG president meets Poly Culture delegation

Du Zhanyuan, president of China International Communications Group (CICG), met with a delegation from Poly Culture headed by Wang Bo, general manager assistant of Poly Group and chairman of Poly Culture, in Beijing on Tuesday.

A subsidiary of Poly Group, Poly Culture specializes in theater management, art works auctions, and film investment.  The meeting focused on strengthening cooperation between Poly Culture and CICG.

During the meeting, Du said the Orchid Awards, an international cultural accolade initiated by CICG, has gained significant impact in the world. He proposed leveraging the awards to foster pragmatic collaboration in areas such as major events, film and television production, translation, think tanks, and international cultural exchange.

Lu Cairong, vice president of CICG, introduced the functions, organizational structure, and current business sectors of the group. He said he hopes the two organizations can work together around the Orchid Awards, publishing, and cultural communication to enhance the influence of Chinese culture.

Wang acknowledged the strong cooperation foundation with CICG, mentioning Poly Culture's active involvement in the inaugural Orchid Awards and its associated cultural forums. He also called for stronger cooperation in cultural communication, international exhibitions, and publishing, to promote friendly exchanges between China and the rest of the world.
