CICG hosts artwork exhibition on Lancang-Mekong cooperation

The Exhibition of Excellent Works of Lancang-Mekong Cooperation Design Award, which aims to promote cultural exchange in the Lancang-Mekong area, was held in Beijing on Dec. 22. 

More than 100 Chinese and foreign guests from over 30 countries such as Vietnam and Cambodia attended the event. They included government officials, guests from colleges, foreign envoys, as well as representatives of the award winners and inheritors of intangible cultural heritage.

Lu Cairong, vice president of China International Communications Group (CICG), said in his speech that the event was both an art feast for Lancang-Mekong countries and an important platform for deepening cultural exchange and promoting friendship and cooperation between China and other countries in the area. 

Lu said that CICG will work with all parties to enhance communication and deepen mutual learning, in order to promote closer friendship among people of all nations and progress of human civilization.

Since its inception in 2020, the design competition has become a popular international art and design event with far-reaching influence. CICG's China Center for International Communication Development was among the event organizers.
