CICG presents books at 2023 Understanding China Conference

The 2023 Understanding China Conference (Guangzhou) was held Saturday in Guangzhou, southern China's Guangdong province. Foreign Language Press under China International Communications Group (CICG) participated in the event, bringing its latest products represented by the "Understanding China" book series.

Du Zhanyuan, president of CICG, and Lu Cairong, vice president of CICG, attended the event. 

Following the releases of the first and second volumes of the book series in 2018 and 2021 respectively, the editorial committee of "Understanding China" plans to start the third volume of compiling, aiming to involve more overseas experts and broaden the international perspectives of the books. 

Over the last decade, thanks to the concerted efforts of CICG and China Institutes for Innovation and Development Strategy, the "Understanding China" book series has launched 82 books in multiple languages including Chinese, English, German, and Spanish, playing a significant role in interpreting China in a way better suited to global audiences.

Written by eminent experts and scholars from China and abroad, the books have delved into various aspects of China, including its history, economy, culture, and international relations.
