Wang Gang, deputy director of the Publicity Department of the Communist Party of China Central Committee, noted in his speech that Chinese values manifested in China's pursuit of mutual benefit and win-win cooperation will maintain their everlasting appeal. Upholding the principle of harmony in diversity, China should seek common values, emotional resonance, and shared interests among different civilizations, build platforms for mutual learning and people-to-people exchange, expand its circle of friends based on mutual trust and benefit, and carry out trade and economic cooperation featuring equal dialogue among civilizations, Wang said.

The international community expects China's greater role in the international order, the reform of global governance, and major issues of the world, said CICG President Du Zhanyuan. Beyond promoting Chinese products, technologies, and standards overseas, Chinese enterprises can also communicate Chinese culture, principles, and images to more people in a targeted way, Du said. Traditional Chinese values related to business, which advocate virtues, kindness, harmony, equity, mutual benefit, honesty, and hardworking, can help shape Chinese enterprises' global images, Du added.

The summit received 251 cases of Chinese enterprises in enhancing their international images, and 40 of them were selected as excellent cases. Executives from renowned Chinese enterprises delivered keynote speeches and shared experience in this regard.

An assessment model for Chinese enterprises' international images was also launched at the summit, based on global surveys that were conducted for nine straight years and an analysis of enterprise cases over six years.

The summit also featured three panel discussions themed on culture, brand building, and innovative communication to explore approaches to improving global images of Chinese enterprises.

A book showcasing 35 representative cases of Chinese enterprises for their efforts in international image building was released at the summit.

Initiated in 2013, this year's event was held under the guidance of the Publicity Department of the CPC Central Committee, the State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission of the State Council, and the All-China Federation of Industry and Commerce.
