CICG president meets CEO of China Institute

Du congratulated Geh on his appointment as the new CEO of China Institute and briefed him on CICG's commitment to international communication, emphasizing its strength in translation, publishing, and research. Du also highlighted CICG's role in fostering people-to-people exchange between China and other countries and called for increased collaboration on this front in order to bolster China-U.S. relations.

Geh introduced China Institute's efforts in promoting people-to-people exchange between China and the U.S., and acknowledged CICG's significant achievements in presenting Chinese culture to the world and enhancing global connections. He also expressed hopes for deepened cooperation with CICG in academic exchange and hosting forums to further strengthen people-to-people connectivity between the two countries.

Founded in New York City in 1926 by American educators John Dewey and Paul Monroe as well as Chinese diplomats Hu Shi and Kuo Ping-Wen, China Institute is dedicated to deepening the world's understanding of China through programs in business, art, culture, cuisine, and education.
