BRI book sharing event held in Frankfurt

A book sharing and exchange event on the German edition of "Xi Jinping: The Belt and Road Initiative" was held Friday in Frankfurt, Germany. Lu Cairong, vice president of China International Communications Group (CICG), attended and addressed the event.

The book, published by Foreign Languages Press under CICG, is a collection of speeches and remarks by Chinese President Xi Jinping on the Belt and Road Initiative (BRI).

Lu said "Xi Jinping: The Belt and Road Initiative" explores the principles, essence, objectives, and paths for advancing the BRI. He said that the book records in detail how the BRI has been proposed, enriched, and developed, as well as the Chinese president's efforts, wisdom, and contributions toward promoting the initiative.

Chinese Consul General in Frankfurt Huang Yiyang said the book provides German readers with an opportunity to appreciate the oriental wisdom and global view embedded in the BRI, and helps them to better understand China's new development concepts and the Chinese path to modernization.

The guests at the event held in-depth discussions on the book. They agreed that the BRI is a major initiative proposed by China to advance opening up in all respects under new historical conditions, and an important platform for building a global community of shared future. It has injected strong impetus into the economic recovery of all countries and contributed Chinese wisdom and solutions for building a better world, they said.

The book's English, French, Russian, Arabic, Spanish, Portuguese, and Japanese editions were also published by Foreign Languages Press.
