Book sharing event on 'Xi Jinping: The Governance of China' held in Romania

A book sharing and exchange event on the Romanian editions of "Xi Jinping: The Governance of China" was held in Bucharest, Romania, on Oct. 12. Lu Cairong, vice president of China International Communications Group (CICG), attended and addressed the event.

Lu said "Xi Jinping: The Governance of China" provides international readers with insights into the achievements, driving forces, and future prospects of China's development. While the accurate and eloquent Romanian translation of the book's volumes I and II reflects the strong cooperation between Chinese and Romanian translators and publishers, Lu said he hopes that Corint Publishing Group and CICG's Foreign Languages Press will continue this collaboration with the translation and publication of the third volume, and contribute to mutual understanding between China and Romania.

Zhang Lili, cultural counsellor of the Chinese Embassy in Romania, highlighted the significance of China-themed book cooperation in promoting cultural exchange. The translation of numerous China-themed books into Romanian has played a vital role in helping Romanians understand China's societal development, history, and culture, she said.

Luiza Penescu, general manager of Corint Publishing Group, said that the Romanian editions of "Xi Jinping: The Governance of China" help to deepen Romanian people's understanding of China's development, the Communist Party of China, and Chinese culture, and foster people-to-people and cultural exchanges between the two countries.

During the event, Foreign Languages Press and Corint Publishing Group signed a cooperation agreement on the translation and publication of the third volume of "Xi Jinping: The Governance of China."
