Seminar on China-ROK relations held in Seoul

A seminar on China-ROK relations was held on Wednesday in Seoul, capital of the Republic of Korea. Over 50 guests from China and the Republic of Korea, including representatives of the organizers, attended the event.

Themed with "Neighborhood Friendship, Mutual Learning Among Civilizations," the event was jointly organized by China International Communications Group (CICG), the Chinese Embassy in the ROK, and the Korea-China Friendship Association. It also celebrated the 15th anniversary of the launch of China (Korean edition), a monthly magazine published by CICG Asia-Pacific.

Gao Anming, vice president of CICG, delivered a speech via video link. He said that for the past 15 years, China (Korean edition) has shown readers in the Republic of Korea the progress of modern China and built a bridge of dialogue and friendship between the people in the two countries. He also called for more cultural and people-to-people exchanges between the two countries.

Xing Haiming, Chinese ambassador to the Republic of Korea, said that the magazine plays an important role in promoting China's culture to readers in the ROK, as well as improving mutual understanding and friendship between the two peoples. He also said that China will continue to make exchanges easier for people from both countries, and that he hopes more people would visit China and experience its beauty as shown in the magazine.

In praising the efforts of CICG, Kwon Byong-hyon, a former ROK ambassador to China, said that the magazine has provided readers in the Republic of Korea an opportunity to deepen their understanding of China. He also emphasized the importance of the event for enhancing China-ROK relations and expressed his hopes for a bright future for both countries.

The event also featured discussions on the present and future of China-ROK relations. Guests from both countries shared their views on how to strengthen economic ties, enhance people-to-people exchanges, and foster friendship between the two countries.
