CICG attends 2023 CIFTIS

China International Communications Group (CICG) attended the 2023 China International Fair for Trade in Services (CIFTIS) that opened Saturday in Beijing, aiming to explore international communication cooperation mechanisms and promote cultural trade.

During the event, CICG highlighted over 100 major works by General Secretary Xi Jinping, including four volumes of "Xi Jinping: The Governance of China." CICG also exhibited flagship book series including "Understanding China" and "Biography of Silk Road Cities," brand products represented by "China Mosaic," documentaries such as "A Long Cherished Dream," as well as the short video series "My China Story."

In addition, the exhibition area displayed shortlisted candidates for the inaugural Orchid Awards that reward non-Chinese nationals and organizations worldwide contributing to promoting cultural exchange between China and the rest of the world. Winners of the Orchid Awards will be announced in early September. 

A photo exhibition featured CICG's efforts in telling China's stories and promoting cultural exchange with the rest of the world, highlighting forums and seminars held by CICG in many countries and displaying a number of excellent writers and translators.

Enterprises from CICG's Sci-Tech Cultural Park for Global Communication also joined the exhibition, aiming to promote cooperation of various parties and the integrated development of international communication, cultural technology, and cross-border e-commerce. 

As part of the efforts to promote cultural trade in recent years, CICG has initiated a number of foreign trade service platforms based on AI and cloud-computing technologies. The CICG exhibition also showcased a cross-border e-commerce cultural trade platform, a big-data service platform for international communication, and an AI-based multilingual translation system, among others. 

Moreover, CICG hosted various activities themed on the cultural and creative industries and inheritance of intangible cultural heritage.
