China International Publishing Center opens in Beijing

The China International Publishing Center, a construction project implemented by Foreign Languages Press (FLP) under China International Communications Group (CICG), officially opened in Beijing's Shijingshan district on Friday.

CICG President Du Zhanyuan unveiled the first group of international communication organizations to open offices in the building, including FLP, the Secretariat of the International Publishing Cooperation Mechanism for China-Themed Books, and the Orchid Awards Secretariat.

Strategic cooperation agreements were also signed here between FLP and the Shijingshan District People's Government, and between FLP, the CICG Academy of Translation and Interpretation, and Pengcheng Laboratory.

CICG Vice President Lu Cairong said at the opening ceremony that FLP should expand international cooperation, enhance the competitiveness of its publishing enterprise, and empower its international publishing business using digital technology.

Around 70 people, including representatives from CICG and publishing agencies, attended the building's opening ceremony.
