Gao Anming, vice president of China International Communications Group (CICG), addressed the dialogue. He said that the development of Jingdezhen reflects the profound and time-honored Chinese culture, and the city has promoted cultural exchange and mutual learning between China and other countries through its own history of cultural exchange.
He said enhancing cultural exchange and mutual learning as well as building a community with a shared future for mankind have increasingly become the shared wish of all countries, and CICG will continue to build more exchange platforms to help the world better understand Chinese culture and civilization, as well as the Chinese path to modernization.
Foreign envoys at the event said they believe that China has engaged in cultural exchange with many countries for a long time, and that Chinese culture has enriched various forms of human civilization and advanced human progress. The international community should join hands to deepen cultural exchange among civilizations, they said.
As a sideline event of the 2023 Strategic Communication Forum, the dialogue was co-hosted by the Academy of Contemporary China and World Studies under CICG, Beijing Service Bureau for Diplomatic Missions, and other government agencies.
