Youth dialogue on civilization diversity held in Yunnan
The International Youth Dialogue on Inheritance and Innovation of Civilization Diversity gathered youth representatives, ambassadors, government officials, and think tank researchers in Honghe prefecture, southwestern China's Yunnan province, on Saturday.

Lu Cairong, vice president of China International Communications Group (CICG), spoke at the event and said that, in promoting the inheritance and innovation of civilizations, respecting civilization diversity stands as the basic premise, engaging with Gen Zers on a global scale serves as a vital step, and fostering people-to-people exchange and collaboration is a crucial pathway to this end.
He said that CICG will work closely with Yunnan province to realize better international communication of Chinese civilization and build brands and products in this regard, thereby broadening China's global appeal and helping global audiences better understand China.

At the event, international youth representatives engaged in exchanges and discussions on topics including cultural exchange and mutual learning in the new era, and civilization inheritance and innovation.

An exhibition of visual stories on the theme "You Make the World a Beautiful Place" in the context of Honghe was initiated. The exhibition will last through December.

The event was organized by the Honghe prefectural government, the China Center for International Communication Development under CICG, the Yunnan Provincial Youth Federation, and Yunnan University under the guidance of CICG and the Yunnan provincial government.
