Du welcomed the visiting delegation and expressed his gratitude for the center's support for CICG. He introduced CICG's institutional reform and reviewed fruitful results achieved by the two sides in translation and publishing cooperation, the accreditation test for Chinese-Malay translators and interpreters, and people-to-people exchanges.

CICG attaches great importance to international communication and cooperation with Malaysia and other ASEAN countries, Du noted.

He also said CICG would like to work with cultural organizations including the Han Culture Centre Malaysia to expand pragmatic cooperation in media, think tank, translation, as well as Gen Zers exchanges, as the two countries celebrate the 10th anniversary of the establishment of China-Malaysia comprehensive strategic partnership this year and will celebrate the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations next year, Du added.

Goh spoke highly of CICG's contribution to people-to-people exchanges between China and Malaysia, and pledged the center's efforts to deepen cooperation with CICG in the translation field and jointly organize a high-end translation forum. He also suggested the two organizations publish special issues and hold events to celebrate the 50th anniversary of China-Malaysia diplomatic ties.
