English version of 'Out of Poverty: Why China Made It' makes debut

The English version of"Out of Poverty: Why China Made It" made its debut in Beijing on Friday. Du Zhanyuan, president of China International Communications Group (CICG), addressed the book's launch ceremony.

Du said that poverty elimination is a common mission and one of the biggest challenges faced by mankind, and that China's experience and practice in poverty alleviation serve as a useful example for the world. The book is an important work in this field that balances narrative and intellectual depth, with equal emphasis on historical value and theoretical significance, he said.

Du also said that the book is a major achievement from cooperation between CICG and the Ministry of Education, and that it has enriched the international communication of China's poverty alleviation, and provided deep insights into Chinese modernization. He added that CICG will further cooperate with various sectors to better tell China's stories.

The launch ceremony was joined by over 50 people, including experts and scholars in related fields as well as representatives from the publicity and rural revitalization authorities, the editorial team of the book, the Ministry of Education, CICG, and their subordinate organizations.

The book was published by New Star Press under CICG.
