CICG executive visits Germany for cooperation on communication and publication

A delegation led by Yu Tao, vice president of China International Communications Group (CICG), recently visited Germany to advance cooperation on international communication, translation, and publication.

In his meeting with Sun Congbin, Chinese consul general in Frankfurt, Yu listened to suggestions for CICG's communication work and gained insight into bilateral non-governmental cooperation. They also discussed ways to promote Chinese culture internationally and build closer relationships with Germany and other European countries.

During a separate visit, Yu met with Juergen Boos, president and CEO of the Frankfurt Book Fair, to discuss global trends and challenges facing the publishing industry and reading habits of young people. The two sides reached preliminary agreements on cooperation and people-to-people exchange in the field of international publication and translation.

The delegation also visited CBT China Book Trading GmbH, CICG's subsidiary in Germany, and offered suggestions for the company to enhance its core business, expand its operations, as well as promote diversified development.
