CICG presents Chinese culture at Foire de Paris 2023

China International Communications Group (CICG) is hosting a cultural exhibition at the Foire de Paris (Paris Fair) 2023, featuring a variety of publications and performances that introduce attendees to both ancient and contemporary elements of Chinese culture.

The exhibition comprises two sections. The cultural and creative products section presents over 500 items, including books, multimedia products, artifacts such as Jingdezhen porcelain and Chinese embroidery, and cuisine. Visitors can explore China's diverse cultural heritage and gain insights into the country's rich history.

The other section features live performances, such as the traditional face-changing show in Sichuan Opera and the Kung Fu Tea ceremony. Interactive cultural activities like painting the Monkey King offer audience a chance to experience Chinese traditions and art forms first-hand.

During the exhibition's opening ceremony on April 27, CICG Vice President Yu Tao said that China and France are two significant civilizations with a long history of cultural exchange.

The exhibition aims to present China's rich history and culture and give French visitors a deeper understanding of the foundation that has shaped contemporary China. Yu noted that the exhibition seeks to promote China-France cultural exchange and strengthen people-to-people connections.

Founded in 1904, the Foire de Paris is one of the world's most prestigious and comprehensive exhibitions, serving as a platform showcasing national images and promoting global cultures. 

This year, the 12-day event is expected to attract over 3,200 exhibitors from more than 100 countries and regions. With approximately 4,000 events scheduled, the Foire de Paris presents a diverse array of product exhibitions, seminars, and art salons, fostering an environment of cultural exchange and mutual learning among civilizations.
